• Alnico characteristics

AlNiCo permanent magnet is an alloy of aluminum, nickel, cobalt, iron and other metal elements (copper or titanium). The composition of the metal composition is different, the magnetic properties are different, so the use is also different. Alnico permanent magnet has three different production processes: Casting, Sintering, Bonded.

The process and the heat treatment need to optimize magnetic properties yield hard and brittle parts that are best shaped or finished by abrasive grinding. Casting processes can be processed into different sizes and shapes. Cast AlNiCo are generally under 70 pounds and may be used as, Compared with the casting process, the Sintered AlNiCo is limited to the small size, and the roughness is small.Cast AlNiCo has the lowest reversible temperature coefficient, the working temperature can be as high as 500 degrees Celsius, because of its high working temperature and stable characteristics, other permanent magnetic materials irreplaceable of.

Cast AlNiCo can be processed into a complex shape to meet customer needs. Some types of magnets are isotropic, which means that they can be magnetized in any direction. Other types such as alnico 5 and 8 are anisotropic, which means that they have magnetized the best direction of the direction. Anisotropic magnets generally have a greater magnetic capacity than an isotropic magnet. Anisotropic alnico magnets are mainly cooled by heating above the critical temperature, and they are present in a magnetic field.

While,Sintered AlNiCo magnets offer lower magnetic but better mechanical properties. The shape and size of the metal powder mixture were then sintered in a hydrogen atmosphere at 2300OF. The sintering process is well suited for mass production and results in a stronger part of the structure than the cast magnet. Do not need to grinding can get relatively close to the tolerance.

    Application

Alnico permanent magnet products are widely used in a variety of instrumentation and other high temperature applications, such as Watt bour meters,Volt-amp meter, medical instruments,Generators,Electronic ignitions systems,Guitar,Hand tools, etc.

  • Alnico permanent magnet has three different production processes: Casting, Sintering, Bonded, but bonded is not able in our factory.A method for manufacturing a resin sand mold or a metal powder produced by a conventional casting method. Sintering Alnico is suitable for complex geometries.

Most of AlNiCo magnets are anisotropic meanings, and the magnetic axes of these particles are oriented in one direction. The orientation is achieved by a heat treatment process after casting or sintering. This process involves heating the cast or sintered portion above its Curie temperature and then cooling it at a controlled rate in the presence of a directionalized magnetic field. The final aluminum-nickel-cobalt material is molded by grinding and cutting to meet the tolerance required.
